The best affiliate management software depends on what your payments run through and how much revenue your partners will bring in. For a Stripe-billed SaaS program, Rewardful, FirstPromoter, Tolt, Partnero and TrackRev start between $39 and $69 a month.
PartnerStack and impact.com suit B2B partner ecosystems and bigger budgets. Tapfiliate, LeadDyno and Post Affiliate Pro cover mixed or small programs, and AffiliateWP fits WordPress sites.
Plan details come from each vendor's own pricing page, checked in October 2026, and prices are monthly unless noted.
I build TrackRev, so it is entry 5 and gets judged on the same criteria as the rest, including where it falls short.
Tracking is table stakes here (how affiliate tracking works covers it), and the gaps show up after the payment.
Key takeaways
- The 9 tools with a published monthly price start between $30 and $89, and each plan meters something different: affiliate revenue, commission tracked, clicks, active affiliates or tracking requests.
- A program that grows from $12,000 to $40,000 of monthly affiliate revenue moves Rewardful from $99 to $299 and Tolt from $99 to $199, while Partnero stays at $49 billed annually.
- Vendors that send the money charge for it: Tolt takes 2%, Rewardful 3% on ACH payouts and Partnero 7%, which is $60, $90 and $210 a month on $3,000 of commissions.
- The IRS raised the Form 1099-NEC threshold to $2,000 starting in 2026, so collect a W-9 or W-8BEN before the first payout.
- PartnerStack gives no price and impact.com's marketplace tier starts at $500, which fits large partner ecosystems better than a small SaaS program.
What affiliate management software has to handle
Every tool here ties a sale to a partner's link.
Management is the work that follows: approving partners, calculating commissions, reversing them on refunds, holding money until the refund window closes, paying people abroad and keeping the paperwork the IRS expects.
How to create an affiliate program covers the design that comes before the software.
| Job | What to test in a trial |
|---|---|
| Recruiting | A branded sign-up page, invite-only programs, a marketplace that supplies new partners |
| Commission rules | Recurring or lifetime pay, a different rate for the first order, per-product rates, sub-affiliate tiers |
| Refunds | Whether a refund, dispute or downgrade changes the commission without you touching it |
| Holds | Whether payment can wait 30 days once a period closes |
| Payouts | Which party sends funds, in which currencies, for what fee |
| Tax and disclosure | Tax-form upload in the portal, totals that export for 1099 prep |

Prices from each vendor's pricing page, October 2026.
1. Rewardful, for Stripe-first SaaS programs
Rewardful prices on the revenue your affiliates bring in. Its pricing schedule, updated January 20, 2026, puts Starter at $49 for up to $7,500 of affiliate-attributed revenue and Growth at $99 for up to $15,000.
Enterprise tiers begin at $149 for $30,000 and reach $5,000 for $2.5 million. Every plan has unlimited affiliates and visitors with a 0% transaction fee.
Starter runs 1 campaign and has no branded portal; Growth adds the portal, a custom domain, private campaigns and custom rewards.
Rewardful connects to Stripe and Paddle, adjusts commissions when a customer refunds, upgrades, downgrades or cancels, and syncs both ways with Stripe. Starter caps team members at 2.
2. FirstPromoter, for the widest billing support
FirstPromoter starts at $49 with a 14-day trial and no card. Starter allows up to $5,000 of affiliate revenue, 1,000 affiliates and 3 campaigns. Business is $99 for up to $15,000, unlimited campaigns and affiliates, and 2 workspaces.
Enterprise begins at $149 for anything above $15,000.
It connects to Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly and Braintree, and imports historical Stripe data when you migrate.
Rules include a separate first-order rate, rates that change over time, earning caps and up to 3 tiers of sub-affiliates, and refunds produce negative commissions automatically.
A custom domain, white-labeling and an in-app dashboard start at Business, and agreements, leaderboards and a marketing asset library come on every plan. Billing on Recurly or Braintree is the clearest reason to pick it.
3. Tolt, for auto payouts and 1099 filing
Tolt charges $69 for Basic, $99 for Growth and $199 for Pro, each with 14 days free and no card. Its meter is revenue earned from affiliates: up to $10,000, $20,000 and $50,000, with custom pricing above that.
All three plans include a custom domain and a branded portal, and programs climb from 2 to 5 to unlimited.
Payouts set it apart: Basic is manual, while Growth adds auto payouts for a 2% fee plus tax-form collection and 1099 filing. It works with Stripe, Paddle and Chargebee and backs the plan with a 30-day refund policy.
4. Partnero, for plans that ignore revenue
Partnero leaves revenue, transactions and partner counts unmetered. Starter is $49 on annual billing ($59 monthly) for 1 program and 1 team member, Partner is $159 ($199 monthly) for 3 programs and 3 team members, and Enterprise starts at $599.
Extra seats cost $29, and the 30-day trial includes every feature.
Affiliate, referral, influencer and newsletter programs all run on each plan. Its payout settings allow manual, scheduled or automated payments, free when you pay directly and 7% when Partnero pays.
5. TrackRev, for partners that run beside other channels
TrackRev runs an affiliate program, link tracking and revenue attribution on one data model. The free plan covers 50 links and 1,000 tracked events a month with revenue figures hidden.
Paid plans are Starter at $39, Growth at $99 and Scale at $199, each with the whole product, unlimited partners and unlimited programs.
The meter is partner commission tracked in a month: up to $10K on Starter, $100K on Growth and unlimited on Scale. Sale revenue is never capped, and annual billing pays for 9 months and gives 12.
It handles recurring, one-time and tiered commissions and reverses a commission when a charge is refunded or disputed.
Partners sign in to a portal on your domain to grab links and watch earnings, and fraud and self-referral detection come built in.
W-9 and W-8 upload sits in onboarding, and Partner Accelerator pays partners who recruit partners from one capped pool. Payout periods close weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly or quarterly.
Each program sets a hold from 0 to 180 days (default 0), and you pay from one PayPal or Wise export, then mark each payout paid. Revenue syncs from Stripe, Paddle, Polar and Lemon Squeezy.
It loses on four counts: it does not send the money or file 1099s, it has webhooks instead of a Zapier app, and it has no marketplace of ready-made partners.
Tolt, Partnero or Tapfiliate's Scale plan fit better when automated payouts decide the purchase, FirstPromoter when billing runs on Recurly or Braintree, and PartnerStack when you need partners you do not know yet.
6. Tapfiliate, for programs that mix store and SaaS sales
Tapfiliate meters clicks and conversions instead of revenue. Launch is $89 ($74 on annual billing) for 1 program, 50 affiliates, 5,000 clicks and 500 conversions, with overage at $1.50 per 1,000 clicks and $15 per 1,000 conversions.
Scale is $179 ($149 annually) with unlimited affiliates and programs, 100,000 clicks and 10,000 conversions, and overage at $1 and $10. Enterprise is quoted and is where full white-label sits.
More than 30 integrations include Stripe, Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Magento.
Scale adds multi-level marketing, item-based commissions and automated payouts through Trolley, a separate paid service funded by a balance you top up, which also collects W-9 and other tax forms. Trials run 7 days on Launch and 14 on Scale.
7. LeadDyno, for small programs priced by affiliate count
LeadDyno prices by active affiliates and leaves clicks and conversions unlimited. Lite is $49 for 50 active affiliates, Essential is $129 for 150, Advanced is $349 for 500 and Unlimited is $749.
The 30-day trial matches Partnero's, and annual billing saves 15%, which brings Essential to $110.
Essential adds multi-level commissions, a custom dashboard domain and 1:1 call support; Advanced adds per-product commissions and a white-labeled dashboard.
Payouts run through PayPal Masspay, and affiliates upload a W-9 or W-8BEN that you can export with commission totals for 1099 prep (see its feature list).
Because price follows affiliate count, 500 active affiliates cost $349 here against $99 on Rewardful's Growth plan while revenue stays under $15,000.
8. Post Affiliate Pro, for unusual commission structures
Post Affiliate Pro meters tracking requests. Starter costs $89 ($79 on annual billing) and covers 10,000 requests and 1 campaign.
Pro, $139 ($129), covers 1 million and unlimited campaigns; Ultimate, $269 ($249), 6 million; Network, $649 ($599), 20 million plus multiple merchant accounts. Affiliates are unlimited throughout, and extra requests cost $5 per 10,000 on Starter.
Every plan includes lifetime commissions, multi-tier structures up to 99 tiers, per-click, per-sale and CPM rates, mass payments in one batch, and fraud rules that block duplicate commissions on one order ID and repeat sign-ups from one IP address.
Recurring commissions, the feature most SaaS programs need, start at Ultimate. The full setup on Starter is capped at 2 hours.
9. AffiliateWP, for WordPress and WooCommerce stores
AffiliateWP is a WordPress plugin, so you buy a yearly license and run it on your own site. Personal is $149.50 for the first year ($299 list, which is also the renewal price) and covers 1 site.
Plus is $199.50 ($399) for 2 sites, and Pro is $299.50 ($599) for 5 sites with automatic payouts, recurring referrals and multi-tier commissions. Every tier has unlimited affiliates and no platform fees.
Payouts run through Stripe or PayPal. There is no trial, only a 14-day money-back guarantee, and it needs a self-hosted WordPress site.
10. PartnerStack, for partner marketplaces
PartnerStack publishes no prices. Its pricing page names Launch, Growth and Enterprise plans and says cost depends on program size, features and support level, confirmed in a demo.
Launch already includes marketplace access to active B2B partners, affiliate link tracking or lead and deal registration, and partner payments built for B2B sales cycles.
Growth adds a learning management system and marketing development fund payments, and Enterprise adds a designated customer success manager. The page sets no limit on partners or internal users.
11. impact.com, for large multi-channel programs
impact.com lists four tiers. Starter is priced from $30, and its sign-up note requires an eCommerce integration with Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce or Squarespace.
Essentials starts at $500 and adds marketplace access to 90,000 partners, unlimited contract templates and performance bonuses. Pro starts at $2,500 with dedicated support, API-based tracking, a Data Lab for custom reports and SAML.
Enterprise is priced by quote and adds fraud scoring and partner deduplication across channels.
Its SaaS page describes contracts built in minutes and automatic payouts in 80+ currencies out of a balance you deposit. A Stripe-billed SaaS company will likely start at Essentials, at least $6,000 a year.
What the same program costs on each plan
Entry prices mislead because every vendor sets a different ceiling. Take a program whose partners bring in $12,000 of revenue a month at a 25% commission, which is $3,000 in commissions.
Then let it grow to $40,000 of revenue and $10,000 in commissions.
| Tool | At $12,000 | At $40,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Rewardful | Growth, $99 | Enterprise 75k, $299 |
| FirstPromoter | Business, $99 | Enterprise, from $149, quoted |
| Tolt | Growth, $99 | Pro, $199 |
| Partnero | Starter, $49 on annual billing | Starter, $49 on annual billing |
| TrackRev | Starter, $39 | Starter at its $10K cap; Growth, $99, adds room |
Prices from each vendor's pricing page, October 2026.
Read the tier above the one you need before signing with any revenue-metered plan. Rewardful lists $299 for its 75k tier, while FirstPromoter puts everything above $15,000 behind a call.
Tapfiliate counts clicks and conversions, Post Affiliate Pro counts tracking requests and LeadDyno counts active affiliates, so one program can cost $49 or $349 on LeadDyno depending on whether 50 or 500 affiliates are active.
Annual billing takes about 2 months off at Rewardful, FirstPromoter, Tapfiliate and Partnero, 15% off at LeadDyno and 25% off at TrackRev, which charges for 9 months and gives 12. Tolt's page lists monthly prices only.
Recruiting and partner portals
Most tools here assume you bring your own partners. PartnerStack and impact.com are the exceptions, with marketplaces of existing partners (impact.com's Essentials tier lists 90,000).
A custom portal domain is a plan boundary at most vendors: it starts at Growth ($99) on Rewardful, Business ($99) on FirstPromoter and Essential ($129) on LeadDyno, comes with Tolt's $69 Basic plan and every paid TrackRev plan from $39, and starts at Scale ($179) on Tapfiliate, which keeps full white-label for Enterprise.
Who pays the partners
Payout design falls into three models. In the first, the tool produces a PayPal or Wise file and you upload it yourself, as TrackRev and Rewardful's lower plans do.
In the second, it triggers payments from your own PayPal Business account, which Rewardful reserves for Enterprise and FirstPromoter starts at Business.
In the third, the vendor sends the money for you against an invoice or a funded balance and charges a fee.
On $3,000 of monthly commissions, Tolt's 2% costs $60, Rewardful's 3% on ACH costs $90 and Partnero's 7% costs $210, or $2,520 a year.
| Tool | How you pay partners | Fee when the vendor sends | Tax forms in the portal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rewardful | PayPal and Wise mass-payout files on every plan; one-click PayPal on Enterprise | Managed Payouts: 3% on commissions paid via ACH | Collected in Managed Payouts onboarding |
| FirstPromoter | Mass payouts over PayPal, Wise, Stripe, crypto and bank transfer in 190 currencies; one-click PayPal from Business | Managed Auto Payouts on Enterprise by approval; fee not published | W-9 and W-8BEN on every plan |
| Tolt | Manual on Basic; auto payouts from Growth over PayPal, Wise, local bank, crypto and wire | 2% processing fee | Collection plus 1099 filing from Growth |
| Partnero | Manual, scheduled or fully automated over PayPal, wire transfer, Venmo or crypto | 0% on direct payouts, 7% when Partnero pays | Collection, forms not named |
| TrackRev | File upload to PayPal or Wise, then record each payment | None, because TrackRev does not send money | Uploaded at onboarding |
| Tapfiliate | Trolley from Scale, funded by a balance you maintain | Billed separately by Trolley, amount not stated | Collected through Trolley |
| LeadDyno | PayPal Masspay, check, wire or gift card | Not published | Dashboard upload, export for 1099 prep |
Fees and forms as listed on each vendor's pricing and feature pages.
Tax forms and the 1099 threshold
Get a W-9 from US partners before the first payment and a W-8BEN from partners abroad.
FirstPromoter, Tolt, LeadDyno and TrackRev collect them in the partner portal, Tapfiliate does it through Trolley, and Tolt goes furthest by filing 1099s from Growth.
The IRS instructions for Form 1099-NEC set the threshold at $2,000 for tax years beginning after 2025, due January 31, and many older guides still say $600.
Card and third-party network payments go on Form 1099-K from the payment settlement entity instead, so ask an accountant how PayPal and Wise payouts are treated for you. How to pay affiliates covers methods and forms in more depth.
Holds and refunds
Commission earned today can be reversed next week, so safer designs delay payment. TrackRev counts its per-program hold from the day the period ends.
With monthly periods and a 30-day refund guarantee, a 30-day hold makes a March 3 sale payable on April 30, 58 days later, and a March 31 sale payable on day 30.
FirstPromoter schedules payouts with NET terms and minimum thresholds. Rewardful, Tolt, FirstPromoter and TrackRev all claw back commission on a refund. Affiliate refund clawbacks covers refunds that arrive after the money has gone out.
Disclosure rules your partners follow
Affiliates must disclose that they earn a commission.
The FTC's endorsement guide FAQ, which points to the Guides revised in 2023, says to place the disclosure close to the recommendation, calls "paid link" beside a link adequate and warns that consumers may not understand "affiliate link" alone.
Put that wording in your program terms; FirstPromoter lists affiliate agreements signed in the portal. The affiliate compliance guide covers FTC and GDPR requirements.
Which platform fits which program
| Your situation | Shortlist |
|---|---|
| Stripe or Paddle billing, a branded portal and under $10,000 of monthly affiliate revenue | Rewardful Growth ($99), FirstPromoter Business ($99), Tolt Basic ($69), Partnero Starter ($49 on annual billing) or TrackRev Starter ($39) |
| You want the vendor to send payments and handle tax paperwork | Tolt Growth sends for 2% and files 1099s; Partnero sends for 7%; LeadDyno exports forms and totals for your own filing |
| Affiliates run beside a newsletter, paid ads and content, and you want channels compared on revenue | TrackRev, which measures every channel on one data model |
| You need a marketplace of existing partners, co-selling or deal registration | PartnerStack (quoted) or impact.com (Essentials from $500) |
| Ecommerce and subscription sales share one program | Tapfiliate Launch ($89) or Scale ($179) |
| Your store runs on WordPress with WooCommerce | AffiliateWP, $149.50 in year one |
| Commissions are unusual: CPM, lifetime referrals or deep tiers | Post Affiliate Pro, with up to 99 tiers |
| A small program under 150 affiliates that wants 1:1 calls | LeadDyno Essential ($129) |
TrackRev's free plan is enough to test the tracking before you invite a partner, and the paid plans start at $39. Teams that bill only through Stripe can also read the best affiliate software for Stripe comparison.

Frequently asked questions
- It is the system a company uses to approve partners, record the sales they refer, calculate and reverse commissions, and pay and document what it owes. Some products add a partner marketplace, and some add referral programs for customers.
- Published monthly entry prices run from $30 for impact.com Starter to $89 for Tapfiliate and Post Affiliate Pro, while PartnerStack quotes by demo. Extra costs come from the ceiling you outgrow and from any fee on vendor-sent payouts, which run from 2% to 7% at the vendors that publish one.
- Free forever plans are rare, and TrackRev's is link tracking only (1,000 events a month, revenue hidden); running an affiliate program there needs a paid plan from $39. Most of the others start with a 7 to 30 day trial, AffiliateWP gives a 14-day refund window and PartnerStack sells through a demo.
- Use your own software when the partners are customers, creators and consultants you recruit yourself. A network or marketplace helps when you need to find partners you do not know yet, and it usually costs more: the impact.com tier with marketplace access starts at $500 a month.
- Ask the new vendor for an import before the trial ends. FirstPromoter lists a historical Stripe import for migrating teams, and Partnero lists onboarding and migration help on Enterprise. Keep the old tracking links working until the longest cookie window you ever promised has passed, so referrals in flight still credit the right partner.
- Collect a W-8BEN from non-US partners and pick a rail that supports their currency. FirstPromoter's mass payouts cover 190 currencies and impact.com says 80+. PayPal and Wise can add their own fees on top of any vendor fee, so compare the total on each rail.
- Mostly yes. Partnero runs affiliate, referral, influencer and newsletter programs on each plan, FirstPromoter and Rewardful list double-sided rewards, and TrackRev keeps referral campaigns and partner programs in one workspace.
