TrackRev
Affiliate Program

A full affiliate platform — and it tracks the channels a specialist tool can't.

Scale the channel that already pays your MRR with a complete affiliate platform — no revenue caps. And because it measures every other channel on the same data, you can prove which one to scale next. $39/month.

Every claim above is verified against each vendor's public documentation. TrackRev matches the specialist feature-for-feature — then adds what only a shared data model can.

TrackRev Affiliate is not a lite version of a specialist tool — it has the full feature set a dedicated platform has. The difference: it runs on the same data as your link tracking and attribution, so you can compare affiliate revenue against every other channel and scale one you have already proven pays.

How the TrackRev affiliate program works

Zero glue code

Commissions accrue automatically from your real sales.

Same pixel, same Stripe key, same attribution engine. A partner's referral link is just a tagged TrackRev link — when an attributed sale lands, the commission row writes itself.

  • Idempotent — refunds clear commissions, replays don't double-pay
  • Recurring commissions for subscription businesses
  • Per-program commission rate, cookie window, and minimum payout

Three ways to pay

Manual, invoice, or auto. You pick how the money moves.

Some teams want to pay each affiliate themselves. Some want one Stripe invoice at month-end. Some want the whole thing on auto-pilot. We support all three.

  • Manual — export CSV, pay via your own PayPal Mass Pay / Wise
  • Stripe invoice — TrackRev invoices you for the batch; we fan out
  • Auto-charge — save a card; we charge + disburse monthly

Multi-tier · Partner Accelerator

Let your best affiliates recruit the next ones.

Turn on Partner Accelerator and affiliates earn when the partners they recruit go on to sell — commission climbing the referral chain out of one capped pool. Set the pool (30% by default) and the seller's rate (10%); every level above decays geometrically, so the whole chain can never pay out more than you allow.

  • One capped pool — deeper chains just split smaller, never cost more
  • Auto-enroll turns customers into partners: a built-in viral loop
  • A network-health metric flags affiliate-to-affiliate revenue past 25%

Common questions

The SaaS affiliate program, explained.

Long-form answers to the questions buyers ask before standing up — or switching — an affiliate program on TrackRev.

What is a SaaS affiliate program and when should I start one?

A SaaS affiliate program pays a percentage of recurring revenue to partners — creators, customers, consultants, integrators — who refer paying users via a tracked link. The partner shares the link, a visitor signs up, Stripe charges them, and the partner earns a commission on the first invoice and every renewal that follows.

Most SaaS companies start one once they have three things: product-market fit (so partners can sell it without hand-holding), a clear ICP (so partners know who to target), and a billing system that can attribute a renewal back to the original referral months later. TrackRev's affiliate program is included on every paid plan, from $39/month, and runs on the same billing connection that powers your link tracking, so the first sale and every renewal credit the partner that drove it without any manual reconciliation.

How does TrackRev's commission tracking handle Stripe refunds and upgrades?

Automatically, and in both directions. When Stripe issues a refund, the pending commission row tied to that charge reverses itself — the partner's balance drops back, and the ledger entry is annotated with the refund event id. TrackRev drives this by listening to the Stripe webhooks for charge.refunded, customer.subscription.updated, and invoice.payment_succeeded.

Plan upgrades increase commission proportionally. If a customer upgrades from a $19 plan to a $39 plan mid-cycle, the next renewal accrues commission against the new $39 amount, not the old $19. Plan downgrades reduce future commission the same way. Cancellations stop further accrual but leave already-paid commission intact — partners keep what they earned. Every adjustment is idempotent, so a Stripe webhook replay never double-pays.

What does the partner portal include for affiliates?

Each affiliate gets a hosted partner portal at a branded subdomain like acme.trackrev.io — or your own custom domain on any paid plan, with white-label branding for logo, colours, and the sender name on payout emails. Affiliates never see TrackRev's branding unless you want them to.

In the portal they see real-time clicks, attributed conversions, pending commission, eligible commission, lifetime paid, and a month-by-month earnings chart. They generate new referral links, pick a destination URL, manage their payout method (PayPal email or bank account), upload tax forms (W-9 for US, W-8 for international), and download payout statements as CSV. Everything an affiliate needs to operate without emailing you for a balance update.

How are affiliate payouts handled?

TrackRev runs payouts on a monthly cadence and batches eligible commission per partner. Commissions move from pending to eligible after the program's hold window — 30 days by default, to cover the Stripe refund period — then into the next month's payout batch once the partner clears their minimum payout threshold (you set it per program; $50 is a common default).

You pick the rail per program. Manual CSV export lets you pay via your own PayPal Mass Pay or Wise account — TrackRev gives you the file, you upload it. Stripe invoice mode bills you for the batch total and TrackRev fans the money out to each partner's payout method. Auto-charge mode keeps a card on file and runs the whole batch automatically each month. All three modes write the same payout receipt back to the partner portal, so affiliates always know what's coming and when.

Can I run a referral program and a partner program in the same dashboard?

Yes. A referral program (existing customers refer friends for account credit or a one-time reward) and a partner program (creators and consultants earn recurring commission on every renewal) are both just programs inside the same TrackRev workspace. Each program has its own commission rate, cookie window, recurring rule (one-time, N months, or lifetime), minimum payout, hold window, and payout rail.

Partners are global identities — one email, one login, many programs. That means a customer who starts in your referral program and grows into a content creator doesn't need a second account to graduate into the partner program at a higher commission rate. The same portal shows both programs side by side. And because both run on the same Stripe sync, both show revenue numbers that match what your finance team sees in Stripe directly.

What's the difference between TrackRev and Rewardful for SaaS affiliate programs?

On affiliate management, TrackRev matches Rewardful feature-for-feature: recurring, one-time, and tiered commissions; automatic refund reversal; subscription-lifecycle-aware tracking; a branded partner portal on your own domain; and fraud detection. TrackRev Starter is $39/month with no revenue caps, where Rewardful starts at $49+/month and FirstPromoter's Starter plan caps affiliate revenue at $5,000/month. Feature-for-feature, it is a complete affiliate platform in its own right.

The bonus is the data model. Because TrackRev's affiliate engine and its link-tracking analytics share one Stripe connection, the revenue a partner sees in their portal is the same number you see in your channels report and the same number finance sees in Stripe. You also get every non-affiliate channel — newsletter, YouTube, paid ads — measured on that same data, so your affiliate program is compared against every other channel in one view. No monthly reconciliation between the affiliate tool, the link tracker, and an attribution spreadsheet — they are one dataset. That's what you can't get by bolting Rewardful onto Bitly.

Is TrackRev's affiliate tool as good as Rewardful?

Yes. TrackRev Affiliate has the full feature set of a dedicated affiliate platform: recurring, one-time, and tiered commissions; automatic refund reversal; subscription-lifecycle-aware tracking; a branded partner portal on your own domain; commission tiers; and fraud detection.

It matches Rewardful and FirstPromoter feature-for-feature on affiliate management, has no revenue caps (FirstPromoter caps at $5,000/month on Starter), and costs less at $39/month. The one thing it does that neither competitor can: track every non-affiliate channel — newsletter, YouTube, paid ads — on the same data, so you can compare affiliate performance against every other channel.

Can I use TrackRev just for affiliate management?

Yes. TrackRev Affiliate is a complete standalone affiliate platform. Many teams use it purely as their Rewardful or FirstPromoter replacement. You get the full affiliate feature set on every paid plan, from $39/month. The link tracking and attribution products are included at no extra cost if you want them later, but you are not required to use them.

Is TrackRev a good Rewardful alternative?

TrackRev is a strong Rewardful alternative for SaaS teams. It matches Rewardful's affiliate features — recurring commissions, refund handling, partner portal, fraud detection — at a lower price ($39 vs $49+/month) with no revenue caps.

It also goes beyond Rewardful by tracking non-affiliate channels on the same data, so your affiliate program is measured alongside your newsletter, paid ads, and content in one dashboard.

I've shipped two SaaS products and the affiliate + attribution layer was always the part I duct-taped together. TrackRev is the first time I haven't had to reach for the duct tape.

We trialled four attribution tools before this one. TrackRev is the only one where the numbers tied out against Stripe on day one — no manual reconciliation, no spreadsheet of shame.
