Free tools for marketers

Small, fast, free utilities we built for ourselves and opened up. No signup required — and when you want to see which channel actually pays your MRR, TrackRev tracks any link so you can rank channels by revenue, not clicks.

Which one do I need

Picking the right tool for the job

All three make a link you can hand to someone. They differ in what happens after the click — which is the part that decides whether you can measure anything.

Tagging one link, once

Use the UTM builder. It assembles a correctly formatted tagged URL in your browser and nothing is stored. The value of a UTM is entirely in the discipline around it: pick one casing and stay with it, because Email and email are two different channels to every analytics tool that will ever read them. Source is who sent the traffic, medium is the kind of traffic it is — google is a source, cpc is a medium. Keep medium to a small closed set and your channel reporting groups correctly a year later.

Bridging print, packaging or a stage

Use the QR code generator. It encodes the destination directly into a static code, so the PNG works for as long as the URL does — no redirect, account or subscription in between, and nothing to expire. The trade-off is that a static code can never be repointed: whatever URL you encode is the URL that ships. If the destination might move, encode a tracking link you control rather than the final page.

One destination for many places

Use link in bio. It publishes a page at a free URL you can drop into the one link a social profile allows. It is the right tool when the destination changes more often than the link does — you update the page, not every profile you have ever filled in.

What none of the three do on their own is tell you whether any of it worked. A UTM records where a click said it came from and a QR code records nothing at all; neither knows whether that click became a customer. That join — click through to the charge that settled in Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy — is what the TrackRev platform adds, and it is the difference between knowing a channel is busy and knowing it pays.
